LW Bogdanka awarded for a high level of investor relations

Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A. received the award of the Association of Individual Investors for the highest level of investor relations addressed to individual investors. The award was presented during the annual Wall Street conference in Karpacz.

We strive to provide all our shareholders, both large and small ones, with broad access to information and substantive support. Therefore, I am very pleased that our efforts, and in particular those of our employees, responsible for relations with the capital market, have been appreciated by individual investors - said Artur Wasil, President of the Management Board of LW BOGDANKA.


The award of the Association of Individual Investors is the next award appreciating the high level of communication with the LW Bogdanka S.A. market. In December of last year, for the ninth time, the Company was qualified by the WSE for the Respect Index whose portfolio includes companies from the Main Market of the WSE which operate in accordance with the best management practices in terms of corporate governance, information governance and investor relations, while also taking into account environmental, social and employee-related factors.

In 2017 LW Bogdanka S.A. also won the Deloitte’s competition: Central European Sustainability Report Award 2016 (Green Frog Award) for its Integrated Report 2015 and was included in the group of laureates of the 1st edition of the Transparent Company of the Year 2016 ranking organised by the “Parkiet” daily and the Polish Accounting and Tax Institute, under honorary patronage of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

LW Bogdanka S.A. has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since June 2009. It is the only mine in the Lublin Coal Basin which extracts hard coal. The Company conducts mining operations within the mining area of Puchaczów V which covers 73 km2. It possesses three excavation fields: in Bogdanka, in Nadrybie, and in Stefanów. In autumn 2017, the Company obtained from the Minister of the Environment a mining licence for extraction of hard coal from the Ostrów deposit in the Ludwin Mining Area.
