The Management Board of Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A. (the “Company”) announces that on 18 July 2018 it was informed of the Company’s preliminary financial results for the first half of 2018 (H1 2018) and decided to make it public:
Separate financial results of LW Bogdanka S.A. for H1 2018:
Net revenue: PLN 854,452,000
EBITDA: PLN 270,028,000
EBIT: PLN 73,961,000
Net profit: PLN 64,453,000
The production of commercial coal in the period under discussion amounted to 4,519,000 tonnes, and sales – 4,341,000 tonnes.
In the second quarter there were no one-off events which would have a material impact on the presented results. Events which had an impact on the results from the first quarter were announced by the Company in Current Report No. 10/2018 of 13 April 2018.
The Company sustains its declared production plan for the whole 2018 at a level not lower than 9 million tonnes.
The Management Board treats the above information as significant given the need to inform the market on progress in realising the declared production level for 2018 in the context of the fact that the Company’s results achieved in the first quarter of 2018 were lower than expected.
The final results will be presented in detail in the Consolidated Interim Report of the LW Bogdanka Group for the first half of 2018, which is to be published on 13 September 2018.
