The Management Board of Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A. (the “Company”) announces that on 17 October 2023 it was informed of the preliminary financial results of the LW Bogdanka Group for three quarters of 2023 (Q1-Q3 2023) and decided to make them public:

Consolidated financial results of the LW Bogdanka Group for Q1-Q3 2023:

Net revenue from sales: PLN 2,688.8 million
EBITDA: PLN 673.4 million  
EBIT: PLN 309.0 million
Net profit: PLN 256.7 million

The production and the sales of commercial coal in the period under discussion amounted to 4.56  million tonnes.

The above estimated Q1-Q3 2023 results were also affected by an impairment loss of PLN 48.5 million (of which PLN 48.5 million was written off in H1 2023), recognized in connection with the potential risk of losing some of the machinery and equipment located in longwall 3/VII/385, as well as some of the galleries by to this longwall.  

The results in their final version will be presented in detail in the Consolidated Quarterly Report of the LW Bogdanka Group for the third quarter of 2023, to be published on 22 November 2023.
